07/08/2010 - THE last vacancy in Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama's administration was filled with the appointment of a new protocol officer.
Cynbeth Orellano, acting city tourism officer, replaced Nagiel Bañacia.
“She did well in the tourism commission. We call her ‘superwoman’,” said Rama.
Orellano helped steer eight years of the annual Miss Cebu pageant, a project of the Cebu City Tourism Commission (CCTC), where she was project director.
Earlier Rama named Jose Marie Poblete as city administrator and Belinda Navasquez as head of the Human Resources Management Office.
Tony del Mar, Rama's former executive assistant, was named acting Public Information Officer.
Public relations practitioner Cerwin Eviota will serve as consultant of the Public Information Office.
Rama retained lawyer Joseph Bernaldez as city legal officer. Several staff changes followed the June 30 turnover of office as several positions were co-terminous.(Cebu Daily News)
